Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are essential to the work we do.  Whatever your interests or skills, chances are we have a job for you!  Persons interested in volunteering must fill out and mail our Volunteer Application.  Please email applicaiton to: stephanie@dvs-snoco.org or fax to Stephanie Civey at 425-258-5976.   For more information, call Stephanie Civey, at 425-259-2827, extension 1013.  Some of the opportunities include, but are not limited to:

Direct Services with victims and children:

  • Hotline/Crisis phone line
  • Working with the children of victims
  • Support Group assistance

Note:  According to federal law, all direct service volunteers must complete a minimum of 20 hours of Domestic Violence Advocacy Training.  Call Stephanie Civey, at 425-259-2827, extension 1013 for training information.  

Non-direct Services:

  • Clerical/Office help
  • Work at our Thrift Shoppe
  • Shelter Maintenance/Yard Work
  • Fundraising activities
  • Community outreach and education
  • Special Events committees

 

NEXT VOLUNTEER TRAINING:

Dates to come for this fall 2016.  All classes are held at the DVS Service Center in Everett.  All classes are held on Monday nights 5:30pm - 8:30pm except for one Saturday.  Please contact Stephanie Civey, 425-259-2827, ext. 1013 for further information on the classes.  This is a required training course if you want to volunteer to work directly with our clients.
